Large Capacity Thermos Nissan insulated coffee press. Remove the plunger, add coffee & hot water, let steep a minute or two, insert the plunger, plunge and pour! The fine stainless mesh screen on the plunger seperates the liquids from the coffee grounds - or tea leaves leaving you with a fantastic cup of brew. Stainless steel inner liner and outer body for durability. Hot 3 hours, Cold 6 hours Although the filter screens on the Nissan Press seldomly needs replacing, we have found that the nylon framed, stainless replacement screens for our Bodum Columbia 8 cup press fits these units perfectly. As a matter of fact, we think they are actually nicer than the original screen that comes with the Nissan press! The Bodum filter fits a little loose for the 1st inch or so on this press, as the inner diamteter of the press has a slight taper for approximately the 1st inch. UPDATE: May 16 2009 - unfortunately, the Bodum 8 cup screens have been discontinued from the manufacturer, and are no longer available! Either way, the Nissan Press is a nice unit, and will provide a long life of excellent coffee production. As with all insulated beverage containers, we highly recommend pre-heating these units by filling them with hot water - or cold water, and leaving them sit for a minute or so before storing your beverage. This will greatly increase the amount of time your beverage will hold its temperature.
