This #4 Porcelain coffee filter cone holder sits nicely atop most coffee mugs and thermoses, for a direct brew-in cup experience. Just set the cone on top of your cup, use either a paper filter, or one of our SwissGold #4 filters - shown below, add coffee, and hot water!

When using a paper filter, you will need to use a medium grind coffee to allow for proper filter drainage, when using a permanent metal filter, the grind size is less critical due to the better drainage. The unit has one drainage hole in the bottom of the cone, approximately 1/4" dia.

We have placed this filter cone on our website in amongst our Swissgold filters, as although its not actually gold plated, it IS a perfect match to be used with the Swissgold #4 cone filter. These units are made from high quality hard porcelain refractory, fired at a whopping 2372 degrees for extra hardness, and are especially great if you are looking to eliminate plastic from coming in contact with your daily brew.
