Although we dont really recommend heating your Chemex units directly on an electric coil stove, as it will have an impact on the longevity of your unit, some prefer that method to keep their brew hot or to bring it back up to their preferred temperature.
Our wire diffuser will help to prevent fracture when used on an electric coil stove, and will help to extend the life of the glassware.
This is not your run of the mill diffuser, its built with 1/8" dia. steel rod, and measures 6 1/2" across the longest points! ...much larger than we expected!
Diffuser is not required when using on gas or glass top ranges.

Chemex Bonded filters are specifically designed and manufactured to work best in their Chemex lines of brewers.
The Chemex filters are a bit heavier construction that standard paper filters, and hold up well where others tend to fall apart and break!
We recommend the Chemex square filters as opposed to the round filters, as they are a bit easier to grasp and work with. The Chemex filters are folded into a cone shape and easily fit down into the Chemex units.
