The Chambord is the predecessor to the original Melior French press coffee maker. The metal frame is made with a bit lighter gauge of steel than that of the Melior, the screw in plunger handle has a slight difference in its configuration, and the handle is constructed from a hard bakelite resin compound, rather than the Meliors Santoprene handle, but the same fine functionality, at a much more economical price! Using a fresh coarse-ground coffee and 94°C, 201 F water is still the simplest way to bring out the very best from all types of coffee.
NOTE: French Press capacities are stated in standard 4 oz. coffee cups. Were not sure who in the world drinks a 4 oz. cup of coffee... seems kind of like running downhill with your mouth open... but, nevertheless, thats how they are sized. We strongly recommend checking ounces on the specs listed below to be sure the press you purchase is the right french press for you.
