The kettle itself is made from durable chrome-plated stainless steel, which sits atop a seperate plug-in base, which when removed, makes the kettle cordless! Includes a powerful 1500 watt heating element to rapidly bring the water to a boil, and an auto-shutoff if the heating element overheats. The base & kettle both have a 360 degree connector socket, so that the kettle can be rotated to any point while on the base.

Other design elements include a removable spout cap, and an automatic-off switch once water has achieved boil. The on-off toggle switch can also be used to stop the heating process at any time. Top of unit is made from see-through polycarbonate for clear viewing.
