How your coffee is milled is often overlooked. Depending on your brew method, a consistent grind is essential in producing a consistent cup. Rotary blade grinders produce an inconsistent grind, but are suitable for drip brewers and vacuum brewers, and are very economical. When a Coffee is ground too coarse, you are not extracting the full flavor of the Bean in your cup, when too fine, it may clog the filter, causing the Coffee to over-flow the filter basket, and can also really wack out your espresso extraction cycles. A well designed burr Coffee mill produces a consistent grind eveytime, ensuring a full-bodied cup, and can prevent other issues during your exctraction process. A consistent grind is also a must for the production of a good Espresso, without it, your Espresso will be consistently inconsistent.
