Bodum Melior French Press & Replacement Parts 

Bodum has discontinued their line of Melior Coffee Presses in 2007, although we do still stock all available Melior replacement beakers and screens. The Melior was the original classic French press coffee maker designed in the 50s, and is still produced with the same handcrafted quality as the original. Melior presses are built a bit more rugged than the other models of french press to withstand a cafe atmosphere. These units include a 1 year manufacturers warranty, and a 25 year manufacturers warranty on the frame.

The frame and lid, made of brass, undergo several chrome plating processes to obtain a durable shiny surface that will last for many years of intense use. The black santoprene handle comes in a matte finish that not only gives a comfortable no slip grip for serving but adds to the classic quality of the design. Using a fresh coarse-ground coffee and 94°C, 201 F water is still the simplest way to bring out the very best from all types of coffee. NOTE: French Press capacities are stated in standard 4 oz. coffee cups. Were not sure who in the world drinks a 4 oz. cup of coffee... seems kind of like running downhill with your mouth open... but, nevertheless, thats how they are sized. We strongly recommend checking ounces on the specs listed below to be sure the press you purchase is the right french press for you.
